Parisian duo Total Warr delivers anirresistible blend of energetic pop set to danceworthy electro beats andcommanding percussion. Having received accolades fromFADER to Stereogum,the band recently released the first track from their upcoming EP,Corbay,out June 11th. Today, they release a live video for the track, “xxxHATE xxx,” one of the EPs slower, more reflective jams.
The Corbay EP contains two new Total Warr originals, alongwith remixes from Is Tropical, Alixander III (Azari& III), XXX Change, and Myd (Club Cheval.) Itopens with the ethereal “xxx HATE xxx,” which Is Tropical thenremixes into a whole new dimension with deep, buzzing synth. Total Warroriginal “Saturday Night” starts out lighthearted and playful beforebuilding to an energetic climax complete with electronic pulses and ananthem-like chorus. XXX Change gives the track a clubworthymakeover, turning it into a dizzying dancefloor banger with blaring bursts ofsynth and booming bass.
