Passion for Fashion

Soooo, I just hopped onto the MailOnline to find some pics' of Topshop's S/S collection. Despite it being Kate Phelan's (former Vogue fashion director) first collection for the label I can't help but find it slightly unimaginative. There's no spark and nothing is daring; something which I feel Topshop survives off. The brand hasn't always been stereotypically 'safe' and upon walking into their stores many a time I have wondered who would be crazy enough to purchase some of their items. With that being said, my favourite item from the collection has to be the over-sized, knitted jumper covered with red crosses. I have no doubt that this will be a key piece in their stores and many little hipster gals will be roaming around with this jumper on and not a lot else!

One thing I will admire is the heavy boots teamed with the hot pants and especially adding those snake skinned bags into the mix! Key trend alert.
Obviously I'm going to be incredibly biased as I love either bright and bold colours, or black teamed with pale pastels, so for me these dull browns and navy's seem quite last season.
Let me know what you think, here's the article: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2103415/London-Fashion-Week-2012-Alexa-Nicola-Pixie-lead-fashionable-row-Topshop-show.html
It would've been nice to see some reader comment's on there but I guess they're all too busy looking at pictures of Corrie actresses in their bikini's! xo
