Ibiza 2012 - The Opening Week Pioneer Shoot

This is my fav image of the week, took abit of time IMS party going on with Ibiza town in the background.

First I have to apologise about the delay of putting this up as I have a few people ask about seeing the images. I have been mental with so many commissions it's only now I have slowed down to have time to blog this.
Ibiza has come around again so quickly. I was so looking forward getting over to the island to start getting my teeth into the new Pioneer Calendar 2013 project. They were also showcasing their new product the RMX 1000, so I had to try and capture over the time I was there DJs using the product, which by the way is amazing!!!

I started the week at the International Music Summit, which goes on for 3 days, which included two Dalt Vila parties and the Carl Cox Legends meal. This was by far the best one I had been to, Pioneer are one of the main sponsors and I had to capture their presence at the event. Also the guest panelists were amazing including music legends Nile Rodgers, Giorgio Moroder, Carl Cox, Danny Tenaglia and Paul Oakenfold. It was also good to hear from new artists (compared to the above) like Locodice, Luciano, Nina Kraviz who were all talking about the electronic music scene, past and present.
Up next was the Ushuaia opening party with the superb Luciano, as i have said in the past an amazing venue. This year they have put added lots of new production, which is visually stunning. The only moan I would say about the event was it was far too busy, as it was near impossible to get out into the crowd after a certain time. However the music was great, it went off and I got some good images.
My last shoot was at Space for their opening party. I have done this for the past 5 years and as usual it was a great event. Highlights for me were everybody in the Flight Arena (pictured below) singing happy birthday to Carl Cox (who is celebrating his 50th this year), Orbital doing a live set, Sasha and Steve Lawler in the Discotech. Great music which always inspires me when I come back.
I have captioned lots of the pics below with a small description. There are lots of photos that are being held back for the Pioneer Calendar so later in the year you will get to see them too.
