The centre of the film being Thor's journey not only physically to the human world in which he meets a beautiful sciencest played by Natalie Portman and the S.H.I.E.L.D team that long to understand his story and where he came from, but Thors journeys as a man learning to be more patience and calm and learn what it takes to be a true hero and in essence the King of Asgard. The films had good moral values as do all Marvel adaptions.
Thors entrance into the human world was unforgettable or more to the point his banishment from Asgard by the king his father played brilliantly by Anthony Hopkins, upon meeting Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) he begins fiercely to find his way home unaware that it is the journey in the human world he needs to grow as a man and understand and fulfill his responsibility to the people of Asgard.
The scene in which Thor marches into a pet store and demands a horse adds to the films comical value as well as the scene in which Thor cannot claim his 'magical hammer' in which he screams 'Waaahhhhh' and also cannot be forgotten the scene in where Thor states to the locals of new mexico "I'm the son of Odin!" hurling mugs of coffee to the floor and grappling with the medics who want to inject sedative into his buttocks. "No more smashing!" scolds Jane.
The film provides something for all action packed and romance filled, although in most parts predictable and fairytale like it also breaks the boundaries with the suprises that the audience do not expect, Thor therefore was a throughly enjoyable film, its a shame that it was not filmed in 3D as some parts of the films graphical content are outstanding, but it is still definately worth watching and I would rate it a 4/5 because its one of the best films I have seen this year.
